Southwind
Southwind ringing in my ears
Southwind ringing in my ears
Bringing me hope and happy memories
Southwind from the burning hills
Southwind from the burning hills
Take me away to where I’ve never been
Southwind, come and answer me
Tell me if the time is right to leave
‘Cause I’ve just found somebody who’ll come with me
Yes, I’ve just found somebody who’ll come with me
Out Of This Town
Hidden under a pair of sunglasses
I took a walk under the morning sun
Hoping there was something to be found
I walked alone, protected by the crowd
Thousands of faces to help me forget
But a poisonous shadow stuck to my head
Then I just wanted to get out of this town
Out of this town where clouds are always around
My feelings change, but my songs stay the same
It’s good to know that my friends are still there
Something wild is whispering in my brain
Out of this town I will search for the sun
Out of this town far away from the pain
Still I know someday I’ll get back again
But now I just have to get out of this town
Out of this town where clouds are always around
Yeah, out of this town
I’m tired of these streets
I’m tired of this rain
I’m tired of these empty people
I got to find my way
Hidden under a pair of sunglasses
I’ll take a walk before the evening falls
I think I’ll learn to live inside these walls
The Wrong Dream
It’s been twelve years since you went away
Twelve empty years away from home
And you’re feeling tired, tired of your change
And you wish you’d never gone
‘Cause you feel you’re walking down the streets alone
‘Cause you’re on your own
And you need someone who makes you miss your home
When the day is done
You climbed into that bus and ran away
You let it take you to the last stop
You left without a word to your sons, your wife, your friends
Blinded by a shooting star
You went riding somewhere across the desert fields
With no reason why
You just left behind your life to chase a dream
It was the wrong dream
But it’s all right – you think
It’s all right – she says
It’s all right, you did the right thing
But something still makes you miss those days
And you’re tired of walking down the streets alone
Yes, you’re on your own
And you need someone who makes you miss your home
When the day is done
(You’re chasing the wrong dream)
Take Me
Let the darkness fall above our heads
Slip your naked body into my bed
Let me taste your skin until the light of day
I can only crawl since I felt your sting
And this f*cking telephone never rings
Let me hear you’ll come to me and take me away
And take me
Sha la la la take me
Sha la la la take me
I’m the tambourine man in that small café
Where I meet Bob Dylan everyday
Where I’m hiding from the past and from myself
I’m just running out of lines to sing
I’m getting tired of everything
Let me hear you’ll come to me and take me away
And take me
Sha la la la take me
Sha la la la take me
Away, away
Away, away…
Just take me away
Losing My Blue Moon
I don’t wanna cry though I know
I’ll never look again into your eyes
Like I’ve done so many times
I’ll never hold your hand
I’ll never kiss your lips, I’ll never see your smile
No, no, no…
I just tried to love you
I just tried my best for you
And in your arms the world stopped turning
Now I’m losing my blue moon
I can only cry alone
Yeah, yeah, yeah…
I miss your arms, I feel like holding
Your body next to mine
Oh, please stay with me, I feel like crying,
I’m losing my blue moon
I am so lonely tonight and memories of you
Break my heavy heart like a cutting knife
She won that battle of hate
She’d never let me love you the way I’d like to
No, no, no…
I just tried to love you
I just tried my best for you
When we made love life turned to magic
Now I’m losing my blue moon
I can only cry alone
I miss your soul, I feel like hiding
My head inside your chest
Oh, please stay with me, I feel like crying,
I’m losing my blue moon
I’ve kissed so many tears, I’ve cried so many nights
My heart has been broken too many times
So I’ll turn into a song and I’ll fly away
And I’ll never look again into your eyes
Rainy Days
There were times when I just wanted her to live with me
But she stole my dreams with all those lies that I believed
I guess I’d say that I don’t care, that it means nothing to me
But I gave myself away and I have nothing left to give
I just trusted my beliefs, I took the risk of pain
I never thought I’d end up lost and crying in the rain
I could kiss her blood and drink her tears but I was her game
All the love she took away and all my worries were in vain
Rainy days and broken hearts is all she left
And I wonder when the sun will shine again
Now I think about those days, I think about my life
I think of all the people I have met and left behind
And I cry for childhood dreams ’cause they will never come back
It’s hard to be a man, I know that I’m still growin’ up
Yes, I cry for childhood dreams ’cause they will never come back
It’s hard to be a man, I know that I’m still growin’ up
Rainy days and broken hearts, my wound’s not dry
Still I see her face in every song I write
Blue As The Night
Pretty girl dressed in black and blue
Alone in the night
As the moon rises over the hills
Painting the sky
She waits in solitude
A rose in her hand
Her eyes are black as coal
But look blue as the night
They look blue as the night
People walk by, some look at her
The pain in her eyes
Scares them, they walk away
With no reason why
She feels the piercing tears
Tells herself not to cry
With a tempest on her face
She is blue as the night
She is blue as the night
Blue as a rainy sky
Blue as the notes on my guitar
Tomorrow’s The Day
A man woke up one Monday
And said goodbye
What a way to start the week! He said
What a way to die!
Tomorrow’s the day
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
(Mary told me)
Our love will be forever
And you’re the one
When she came back to me
I saw the shame in her eyes
Tomorrow’s the day
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
(Sweet Jane)
Nobody understood her feelings
So she took the long way
Someone pulled up her flowers
The Big Bad Wolf ate her
Tomorrow’s the day
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
(Poor James)
James climbed up very fast
To the top of the world
When he suddenly fell down
He was only 28
Tomorrow’s the day
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Nobody understands the sense of your race
If you don’t know the final time
If you don’t know the final place
Don’t worry, don’t hurry
Don’t try to run so fast
A star shines forever
The brightest fire burns in one night
A man woke up one Monday
And said goodbye
What a way to start the week! He said
What a way to die!
Tomorrow’s the day
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Tomorrow’s the day that I’ll die
Dressed In Black
I look at you, walking by the road
With a tight T-shirt and your black jeans on
You turn round, I’m goin’ out of control
Baby, those black clothes really turn me on
I watch you climb in your Cadillac
Your dark sunglasses hide your burning eyes
I’d sell my soul just to be there tonight
And see your body turn from black to white
(I want you) dressed in black
(I need you to) dress in black
(you turn me on) dressed in black
(oh, won’t you please) dress in black?
Nobody home, we’re on my bed
You have no black jeans, you have no shirt
The night is hot and your body’s wet
I feel your skin, you’re makin’ me sweat
I watch you climb in your Cadillac
Your dark sunglasses hide your burning eyes
I sold my soul, I’ll never get it back
Oh, baby, won’t you shake me, shake me,
Shake me, shake me tonight
Dressed in black
Sunday Morning
Sunday morning you can feel it in the air
The clouds full of water, the light so strange
Don’t you wanna come with me, to walk under the rain?
Don’t you wanna feel the drops falling on your head?
Rainy day
Nothing in your pocket, nothing in your hands
You say “Could you gimme a dime?” – I don’t understand
How do you live this life? Perhaps you couldn’t choose
I look into your eyes and see that you have nothing to lose
Rainy day
Losers are on the other side
On this side of the street people pass by
We don’t wanna know, don’t wanna hear
Don’t understand, don’t wanna see
Rainy day
We can live protected from the rays of light
Beware, don’t cross the road to see the other side
Walking down the streets of this Promised Land
I feel that my hometown is a castle made of sand
Rainy Day
Losers are on the other side
On this side of the street people pass by
We don’t wanna know, don’t wanna hear
Don’t understand, don’t wanna see
As reality filters through the rain in this town
Losers are on the other side
On this side of the street people pass by
We don’t wanna know, don’t wanna hear
Don’t understand, don’t wanna see
As reality filters through the rain in this town
Through the rain in this town
Love Song For No One (Come With Me)
Everywhere you look my eyes you’ll find
Anytime you want me I’ll be there on time
It’s no time to be afraid now, just tell me
You’ll come with me
Don’t say you’ve been hurt, I can see it in your eyes
If you hadn’t loved you wouldn’t have cried
But this could be the right time if you just tell me
You’ll come with me
‘Cause I’m tired of being alone
I need a woman to make me strong
Someone to share all my fears with
Someone to love, someone to love
Don’t think about lies, don’t think about grief
There’s a feeling inside you you must reveal
You have no reason to conceal
That you’ll come with me
I only wish I knew who you are
Sister Moon
Night-time, nobody on the road
Nobody by my side
But my feelings and my sight
I drive, the music soft and slow
The mountains and the sky
Are all I need tonight
And it’s so strange the way it makes me feel
The night so bright, the moonlight on the fields
I stop the car, my guitar and me
Will find somewhere to sleep
There’s a lonesome, quiet moon tonight
Full moon, like a sister to my soul
Like a river in my mind
Like a sea inside my heart
I count the stars and watch them go
Drawing circles through the sky
With their ghostly, distant light
Sister moon, how strange you make me feel
With your light you make things so unreal
And every night you shine in the sky
I can’t help but watch you rise
There’s a full, mysterious moon tonight
